Assassin's Creed: Which Desmond Miles Ancestor is the Best?
Desmond Miles has some amazing ancestors, but which one's best?
Desmond Miles has some amazing ancestors, but which one's best? Assassin's Creed was an amazing game which introduced us to concept of the Animus. For those of you who don't know, the Animus is a device that allows the user to re-live his/her ancestor's memories. In the first game Desmond is forced to relive the memories of the great assassin Altair Ibn La Ahad, who's journey lets the players climb roofs in 1190, Jerusalem. Desmond then runs away to join a group of modern assassins who put him back in the animus to find a Piece of Eden. This time he is Ezio Auditore, an abandon boy who discovers his families secret and becomes an assassin. For the past three games we have watched Ezio mature into a master assassin and travel throughout Venice, Rome, and Istambul. Now, we are being introduced to a new assassin and a completely new time period. Ratonhnhaké:ton (Connor Kenway), is the newest (and final) ancestor for Desmond. His story takes place in Boston and New York during the Revolutionary War. In this article I will compare all three assassins in four different subjects, give them each a score in that subject, and add up their points in the end. The ancestor with the most points, is the ultimate assassin. 4. Weapons
The weapons are what makes these games so much fun. Whether it be the signature hidden blade or a simple dagger, players can dish out all kinds of damage. Some weapons have stood the test of time and made it into all of the games, while others are new to the assassin's arsenal. Altair: The original assassin is equipped with a hidden blade, throwing knives, a sword and his fists. Although he can deal a lot of damage with only his fists, his lack of variety makes the game repetitive and a bore to play after a while. For lack of choices, he gets a 7/10 in weapons. Ezio: The apprentice became the master once his friend Leonardo deciphered the codex pages and built the weapons. Ezio has many weapons at his disposal including dual hidden blades (later changed to a hookblade), poison darts, a hidden gun, swords, daggers, smoke bombs, real bombs and so much more. He scores a 9/10 in weapons. Connor: Torn between the land he loves and fight for freedom, young Native-American Ratonhnhaké:ton fights with all his heart. Every good warrior needs the weapons to back them up, and Connor has more than he needs. It has been confirmed that the hidden blades will make a return and will be modified to grapple any foes in your path. There are also some completely new weapons, like the twin flintlock pistols, a tomahawk and best of all, a bow. From what we've seen so far, it looks like Connor has all the basic weapons and more. He gets a 10/10, just from anticipation of what the weapons will be.
