Avengers: Age Of Ultron - 8 Essential Superhero Games You Must Play
3. Spider-Man 2
"Spider-Man?! In an Age of Ultron list?!" - well yes actually, because if you've not heard, Sony and Marvel have inked a new deal to bring the wall-crawler to the MCU in the next couple of years. Word on the street is he's going to make his first new appearance in Captain America 3: Civil War, but considering Ultron's as-yet unconfirmed credits scene and its hefty runtime, there's every chance Spidey could pop up as an easter egg or dialogue reference before then. So, which is the best Spider-Man game? Web of Shadows definitely comes close, and if you can stomach some subpar combat for the sake of enjoying multiple iterations on the character then Shattered Dimensions is worth a punt too - but it's Activision's second movie tie-in that took the GTA formula and threw Spidey right in the middle, creating one of the best open-world games of all time in the process. With free-reign to do everything from clambering up the Empire State Building to thwipping through Central Park and catching some thieves before delivering a handful of pizzas if you're feeling charitable, this is one of those rare titles that excels in leaps and bounds, being the first to genuinely make you feel like Spider-Man with an entire city awaiting your protection.
