Batman: Arkham 2017 - 10 Perfect Ways To Continue The Franchise

5. Focus On The Suicide Squad

A Suicide Squad game has been a title years in the making. DC's creative head, Geoff Johns, has spoken on numerous occasions highlighting his excitement for the supposed title's existence, and given the way things ended with Arkham Origins, a title featuring DC's very own dirty dozen doesn't seem all that far-fetched in the slightest. Arkham Asylum's prequel featured a post-credits sequence with a cameo from Amanda Waller, the handler for the government's off-the-books supervillain taskforce, and Slade Wilson, who was criminally underused in the main story. The scene hinted quite plainly that the Squad will be making an appearance in the Arkhamverse at one point or another, hints that were only further developed in the title's handheld spin-off, Origins: Blackgate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mG9FrCGW6w Whether or not this means that players will get to play as the Squad is anyone's guess, but considering their newfound position at the forefront of DC's live-action releases, it's more than fair to say that their presence in the Arkhamverse is a given. I'd personally prefer to see a title that drew heavy inspiration from Gail Simone's Secret Six series, but having been a comic book fan for so many years, you come to realise that Catman isn't really everyone's cup of tea (even if he totally should be).
