8. It Will Be For Next Gen Consoles
With the vast majority of the major game releases for 2020 already announced, it feels likely that a new Arkham game won't hit before the end of the year at the earliest.
Both the PlayStation 5 and the XBox Series X are due for release in good time for Christmas 2020. With the impending Arkham announcement it feels hard to overlook the possibility that the Bat's latest adventures will be a launch title for the next generation of consoles.
There is no guarantee of this. Arkham Origins was released in the autumn of 2013, the year of the release of the PS4 and XBox One, but had only been developed to be compatible with the previous generation and thus only got a release for PS3, XBox 360 and Wii U, along with the PC version.
It is currently widely expected, however, that Arkham Legacy (or whatever it's called) will be available for both current and next gen consoles.
