7. Kevin Conroy Won't Be Voicing Batman

For many Batfans all the debates about Keaton versus Bale are irrelevant as there is only one actor who they consider the best and truest version of the Caped Crusader. Kevin Conroy has been voicing Batman across different media for almost three decades and has long since utterly nailed the required gravelly stoicism masking deep inner pain.

Admirers of Conroy's Bruce Wayne have been given a treat by finally seeing him portray the role in live action thanks to the TV Arrowverse's massive Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover event. But on the flipside they are going to have to deal with his absence from the new game.

Conroy voiced Batman in most of the Arkham games, including the likes of Arkham VR and the mobile games Lockdown and Underworld, but not WB Montreal's previous effort, Arkham Origins. It is likely, then, that Origins voice actor Roger Craig Smith (last heard voicing the Dark Knight in bonkers animated film Batman Ninja) will be back instead.

It doesn't seem like it was Conroy's decision not to be involved, however, as he responded to an interviewer's disappointment about him not featuring in a potential new game with: "I know. I don't know why." So that, at least, is one detail that might dampen fan excitement.
