To be quite honest, that's simply not cricket and if Rocksteady were to ignore the mysterious happenings in Arkham Kinight then you'll find us at our writing desk half way through a strongly worded letter. Although Azrael told Batman in Arkham City that he is the warrior that will save Gotham (according to 'the prophecy'), he also said that The Dark Knight would fall in the process. Should we expect Rocksteady to finish the Arkham series with the death of Batman? With the studio having had no qualms about offing The Joker, anything's possible.
