8. Perfect - The Crazy-Overpowered Gliding Upgrades
When you first see it in the upgrade screen, the idea of adding more button pushes to your accelerated grapple looks like par for the course. But as soon as you either purchase the triple/quadruple tap or get the new suit which lets you fire yourself out the Batmobile at near-light speed - the resulting rush of adrenaline as you take to the skies is fantastic. The way the score drops out and all you can hear is Batman's cape flapping in the wind is sublime, and it definitely helps in a big way that the draw distance here is extremely long. You can see for miles, with Gotham's cars and thugs going about their business on the streets below - all backed by a frame rate that stays totally solid regardless of how much you duck and weave through the interconnected railways and buildings along the way. By the time you've powered up the Batmobile's launcher or the grapple hook in general you'll be slingshotting yourself into the clouds at every opportunity - even just to tackle someone on the other side of a wall - as considering how ludicrously overpowered the whole thing is, those who wished for a flight augment to the Batsuit might as well think of it as such.
