Batman: Arkham Knight - 8 Huge Flaws Nobody Wants To Admit

3. Batman€™s A Bit Of A Dick In This Series

He starts off alright enough in Asylum, but a Batman who disregards the entirety of Gotham's safety for the sake of chasing Talia's perfectly-rendered derriere in City is not a Dark Knight you can believe in. From being short with his comms team to not knowing his own limits and almost dying multiple times, the Batman of the Arkham games is like a riff on the Nolanverse character, albeit with far less proficiency. It feels more like you're bumbling from one location to the next and battering whatever's in your way rather than having Rocksteady shine a light into some precognitive 'catch-all' plan he usually sets up for whatever inevitably goes wrong later on. The Batman people fell in love is someone who always plans ahead for every outcome - how awesome was the reveal there was another Batcave on Arkham Island? - and just when you think he's been foxed, he already predetermined the entire scenario. Having a building collapse on him only to be saved by Catwoman, chastising Alfred as he tries to bed Talia and treating Robin like the scum of the earth really isn't the best starting point for a final chapter where we're rooting for him to beat the Knight.
