3. Thomas Wayne Batman (Flashpoint)

Having made use of dream sequences and toxin-induced hallucinations to spectacular effect in previous titles, Rocksteady could undoubtedly find a way to include the Thomas Wayne version of Batman in Arkham Legacy.

The most brutal and unforgiving version of the Dark Knight we have ever seen, the inclusion of Thomas Wayne’s Dark Knight would be a master-stroke.

In the alternate ‘Flashpoint’ timeline, Thomas, traumatised by the death of his son Bruce at the hands of Joe Chill in Crime Alley, dons the cape and cowl and embarks on a brutal campaign of revenge, killing and maiming as he goes, unencumbered by the morals and rules our Batman and his team lives by.

The implications for Arkahm Legacy are certainly intriguing.

The block/dodge/counter combat mechanics would now end in a killing stroke, and Batman’s gadget wheel would no longer showcase tools to pacify and disarm, but to kill and injure.

Visually, we would be thrown a curve-ball as, with the cape, the cowl, the armour, it would seem at a casual glance that you are simply controlling the Batman as per usual, but something about it would just feel…..wrong.
