Batman: Arkham Origins 2 - 10 Big Things It Can Fix From Knight
3. Show The Importance Of Bruce Wayne
This was personally something I felt that Knight botched completely, and that was the relationship between Bruce Wayne and the cowl he hinds behind. Knight would have you believe that the character of Bruce is the true mask, and that Batman is who he really is. This is a gross misreading of the character, especially as Knight aims to glorify the moment in which Bruce fully succumbs to his role as vigilante protector, lacking even the decency to tell his most loyal allies what his true intentions were. This isn't to say that the psychological relationship between Bruce and Batman isn't mutually exclusive (as one most certainly forms more of the character than the other), but to disregard the more human elements of the character in favour of the more mythic ones is an error that dehumanises what should be a very relatable character. At his core Bruce may be a vengeful person, but he's also one that possesses great empathy and compassion. Omitting that from the Arkham series wouldn't be a good idea at all.
