Before GTA V: 20 Greatest Achievements In Grand Theft Auto IV

9. TLAD: Get Good Wood

GTA13 One of my personal favourite features of The Lost and Damned was the inclusion of motorcycle races (big surprise they'd have those). Okay, so it's not so much the races themselves, but what they include. When I was a kid, I used to play Road Rash (that explains a lot about why I am the way I am). For those of you that don't know the game, it's just races on motorcycles while beating the living crap out of other racers with bats, whips, etc. It's a violent game, which is exactly why I loved it. With the races in TLaD, you do the same thing. You're given a bike, a bat, and a route. Your goal is to use all three to win the race. The achievement itself is given when you whack 69 bikers off their bikes (Rockstar and their innuendos). That means you'll have to do a couple races - unless you manage to knock the same 7 people off their motorcycles 69 times in one race. If you manage to do that, make sure you film it. I'd love to watch it.

8. TBoGT: Adrenaline Junkie

GTA14 One of the greatest features of TBoGT that Rockstar brought back was the return of parachuting. The simple excitement of plunging out of a helicopter and plummeting towards the earth at the speed of sound, and then pulling the parachute and, uh, slamming into Rotterdam Tower. Rockstar really wants to test your cojones with this one. You're supposed to freefall for as long as possible before pulling the cord and parachuting to safety. So what exactly does "as long as possible" mean? I couldn't tell you. I guess your best bet is to try over and over until they're like "Oh, yeah, you did it. Nice job." Granted, if you keep dying, you'll be spending your money on hospital bills - which is better than what they already give you to spend money on (which is nothing, by the way). Maybe put on some Tom Petty while you go for this achievement.
