Bioshock Infinite: 10 Reasons It's Game Of The Year

6. Graphics

If many were disappointed that BioShock 2 actually didn't look as visually refined as the original game - likely a cause of the developer switch - they're sure to feel redeemed by the visual palette in BioShock Infinite. This is a gorgeous looking game, and though it's always easier to make bright colours crackle compared to dark murkiness, there's no denying the absolute stunning quality of the graphics. If you've got a gaming PC that can handle high-end gaming, then this is an absolute must, as the console versions have reportedly suffered from some low-res textures as well as frame-rate issues when there's a lot taking place on-screen. From the brilliant character designs (see above) to the general quality of the animation and the sheer artistic design of the world, this is a game that's had plenty of care and effort poured into it, yet not at the expense of the story and gameplay, as is the case with so many titles these days.
