Bioshock Infinite: 10 Reasons It's Game Of The Year

7. The Skyhook

A great way to make any sequel awesome is to introduce a new array of weaponry, and that's something Infinite does with one addition in particular - the superb Skyhook, which can be used to hook onto the various Skyrails placed around Columbia, in order to travel faster. They serve a far more awesome purpose, though, in allowing you to attack enemies by flying off the Skyrail and either clubbing foes into oblivion or even gorily stabbing them with the hook. What's even better, though, is that the enemies aren't afraid to use them either; they will frequently use their Skyhook to give chase and try and launch their own attack, which is refreshing given how lame-brained AI can be in even the very best games. As exceptional as it is, be prepared for the enemy to come at you just as strong.
