Bioshock Infinite: 10 Reasons It's Game Of The Year

4. It's Refreshingly Long

Another thing I can't stand about so many modern games is that they seem to be getting shorter with every passing year. The vast majority of games I've finished this year have run in at the 5-8 hour mark, and it's a figure that seems to be increasingly slipping backwards. Developers seem to be putting less time into the campaign so that they can furnish the game with a needless (and normally badly designed) multiplayer component that nobody will be playing two weeks after release. BioShock Infinite, however, knows the score. This is a game that at the lower end will take skilled players around 8 or 9 hours, but those keen to explore the bustling city of Columbia could spend around double that with ease. This is the beauty of the game; you have the freedom to play through it however you so wish.
