Bioshock Infinite: 10 Reasons It's Game Of The Year

3. There's A Twist (And You Won't See It Coming...Again)

009 Don't worry, no spoilers here. The problem with the original BioShock having such a fiendishly brilliant twist with its famous "Would you kindly?" bombshell-drop - where it turned out you had been doing the villain's bidding for the entire game - is that people are going to be sniffing around for a twist from the outset of any sequel, and now that it's not a secret that Infinite has a twist, players will again be analysing every action and line of dialogue. The reveal might not be quite on mind-blowing par with the original game's revelation, but it's still a brilliant exclamation point, changing what we know and allowing the game to follow through with an emotionally resonant climax. You're liable to be suspicious for the majority of the game, and yet, it'll almost certainly still manage to take you off-guard, leaving you impressed, enthralled, and emotionally satisfied.
