Bloodborne: 10 Legitimate Complaints Fans Can't Ignore
6. The Camera Can Still Get You Killed
Concerns have been expressed about the lock-on feature with the game. Switching between one enemy to another can be difficult if there’s a large group. In times of pressure, the lock-on might not entirely co-operate with your attempts to focus your attacks on the gunman shooting at you, as opposed to the dogs frantically running around you. Before this can be amended, you’re shot in the back, mauled and left for dead.
Learning to fight without the lock-on is a MUST in Bloodborne. Certain bosses will take any opportunity they can get to be on top of you, rendering your camera absolutely useless. When this happens, the camera will twist and turn in a bid to keep locking on with the part of the boss that’s directly above your head. The downside to ignoring the lock-on camera is that you won’t be able to riposte people properly, and going without ripostes makes the game a whole lot harder.
There’s also a funny glitch that happens when you fall off of a particular ledge in Bloodborne, causing the camera to become a birds-eye view for the character. You can pretend you’re playing Grand Theft Auto: Yharnam.
