Bloodborne: 10 Legitimate Complaints Fans Can't Ignore

7. Loading Times Aren't THAT Much Better

As mentioned previously, the load times in Bloodborne used to be atrocious. Nearly a minute could pass before you could respawn, which doesn’t sound very bad, but it happens after every death, so you’ve got to quantify that with the amount of dying you’re going to be doing.

Remember; Bloodborne is the latest in a series of games that built a reputation for their unforgiving levels of difficulty. So you’re going to die, a lot, and more often than not you'll spend more time on that loading screen than fighting the thing that killed you.

Still, it has seen one patched in 2015. The loading screen now shows item descriptions for players to read whilst they wait, which is good because a lot of the story and lore of the game can be found in the descriptions. This makes the wait seem a lot more manageable. But there is heavy emphasis on the word “seem”, because although the load times have improved, they’re still pretty long, it just feels quicker because there’s something to take in.
