Calling it right now: Link is losing that arm.

For quite some time, we had rumours of an apparent "sequel" to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Not just "another Zelda", but a full-on continuation of what went before.

During Nintendo's conference at E3, just after the announcement of Banjo-Kazooie in Smash, when fans didn't think it could get any better, an in-game cutscene confirming this very thing was now officially in development.

Fans are naturally rejoicing, and with things like the Hyrule Historia or constant nods to other Zelda games throughout Breath of the Wild, Nintendo have always encouraged us to engage in the wider lore. Because of this, everyone and their mother has been searching through this recent trailer, frame by frame, for information on how this will connect to the wider Zelda universe, how it will play, when it will be released and what will happen.

With just one minute and 26 seconds of gloriously vague footage from a teaser trailer and a couple of vague interviews to go off, we can make some good predictions on what will go down.

Dig a little deeper into the information we have been given, and "Breath of the Wild 2" starts to come into focus.

7. Ganondorf Will Be The Antagonist

During the trailer, a creepy corpse is ever-present.

By the way the corpse wakes up at the end of the trailer with red glowing eyes, it is likely this will be the primary antagonist of the game.

But who is it? Most likely, Ganondorf.

The body has similar jewellery and the same hair colour as Ganondorf from Twilight Princess, which seems like an odd detail if it isn't Link's eternal nemesis.

With Calamity Ganon gone after the events of Breath of the Wild a new villain will need to take its place, and who better than the most iconic Zelda villain?

Seeing Ganondoft return to face Link and Zelda once again will truly be a treat, and you have to wonder if Nintendo are filling in the blanks as to what started the Calamity version of Ganon in the first place.
