3. Kevin Spacey

Yes, you saw that right, Kevin Spacey is playing the so far, unnamed bad guy of this piece. Fresh off the success of House Of Cards, Spacey has always been good at playing the baddie, but in this case, he is channelling Frank Underwood as he recites his monologue. From what he is saying, the world is in disarray (as it always is in CoD games), the US position as the enforcer of democracy has backfired, leading to likely civil war or general insurgency in all the territories that the US finds itself. People need a leader who can give them both the support and the constraints to keep chaos at bay. You give them that and theyll follow. Thats where I come in Spaceys character ruminates at the end of the trailer. This tells us that he is either leading a private army and planning an insurgency of his own, or he is a political force and he will be invading a country by force. Could he be the US president? Could he be the wealthy businessman who wants to secure his own interests overseas? All questions that we need answered. Besides his motivations and who he is, you know he will be a terrific bad guy. Spacey commands respect and can be genuinely terrifying when he wants to be. It remains to be seen about how he comes across as a digital version of himself but he definitely lends the CoD series some legitimacy.
