Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Review - 8 Ups & 4 Downs

4. Zombies Is Bigger & Better Than Ever

In fairness, I've never been a huge fan of the Zombies modes in the Call of Duty games, but they clearly have a huge swath of fans, and Black Ops 4's offering just might be the beefiest and most creative yet.

Zombies in Black Ops 4 is centred around three main modes: IX (a zombie survival mode set in a gorgeous Roman coliseum), Voyage of Despair (a zombie apocalypse takes over the Titanic!) and a more typical Zombies mode set on the map Blood of the Dead. There's also a competitive Rush mode, in which players race to score the most points, which is nothing if not a neat diversion.

With its no-frills simplicity and fantastic visuals, IX is the easy highlight of the Zombies suite this year, though Voyage of Despair also serves up a beautifully rendered Titanic that's a ton of fun to explore.

All the usual accoutrements are available here for Zombies fans, so while it again doesn't do a whole lot fresh or innovative, it is a confidently presented blast all the same.
