Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Review - 8 Ups & 4 Downs

5. Regenerating Health Is A Huge Improvement

Fans were certainly divided when Treyarch confirmed that Black Ops 4 wouldn't feature regenerating health, but it's ultimately a gamble that absolutely paid off.

Forcing players to administer medikits completely changes the ebb and flow of gunfights: rather than cower away from enemies while you wait for your health to arbitrarily replenish, you're able to self-heal immediately and hurl yourself straight back into the fight.

While it certainly takes a little while to get used to the loop of healing yourself whenever you're wounded, it ultimately feels like a democratic move for the series in terms of allowing players more freedom to conduct gunfights however they wish.
