Call Of Duty: Ranking Every Game Mode From Worst To Best

Many entries in the series have debuted new game modes that have gone unnoticed by vast swathes of the player base. The reason? Said modes are only available in 'private' lobbies, meaning they can only be played offline (who can forget the days of squinting around a tiny monitor to play four player split screen?) or online amongst friends.

Grind first appeared in such a fashion, hidden away in Ghosts before it eventually went public in Infinite Warfare and Black Ops III (as Fracture). A spin-off of Kill Confirmed, it only enables players to score points for the tags (data fragments in Fracture) that they collect by delivering them to a specific point on the map. This thankfully moves lest everybody camp the same spot all match.

As death results in every collected tag being dropped, players are presented with the continuous dilemma between playing it safe and going for broke.

Few things are more satisfying than shamelessly stealing a huge haul of unearned tags, whilst few things are more frustrating than seeing a long streak come to naught from a cheap kill. Matches can unpredictably change in an instant as a result of this concept and the mode is always fun for a few rounds if inconsistent.
