Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Reviews: 10 Critical Reactions You Need To Know

6. Cortex Strikes Back & Warped Are Worth The Purchase Alone

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Warped

"Speaking of the latter two games, they’re a lot more fun, as they introduce new elements to their levels. The best of the three, for me at least, is Warped. Not only does it look the best, but the variety of levels makes it much more fun. Like Cortex Strikes Back, the game gives you five different levels at a time, but Warped gives you loads of different ways to play, such as scuba diving and riding a motorcycle." - God is a Geek
"Having years to reflect on them and returning now to the trilogy in this new form, Cortex Strikes Back stands the test of time as the best overall package...The second entry offers a smart balance of maddening difficulty but also makes me feel that overcoming every obstacle will take just one more try — even if it really takes a dozen more...The trilogy rounds out with the also-fantastic Warped, which doesn’t strike quite as great a balance between design and difficulty." - IGN

Even if you can't get on with the original Crash, that's just 33% of the package, and the effortlessly superior sequels, Cortex Strikes Back and Warped, are well worth the asking price on their own merits.

With the greater level variety and introduction of more robust mechanics and enemies, the sequels are no doubt going to be the N. Sane Trilogy's main course if the original game is really just the starter.

To that end, the latter two games retain the brilliance they had on release, and even if you choose to skip the first game entirely, this is still fantastic value for money.
