Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Reviews: 10 Critical Reactions You Need To Know
5. The New Features Are Very Much Welcome
"Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has added some new features, such as the ability to save manually, and time trials, but one of the cooler additions is the ability to let you play as Coco Bandicoot, Crash’s developed sister. She doesn’t really do anything different, but through most of the three games (except for some bosses and vehicular levels) you’ll be able to bounce around as her, and it does that little bit extra to make it different." - God is a Geek
"You also get a modern checkpoint and save system for the original game, and the chance to play as Coco Bandicoot in any of the standard on-foot levels. She controls the same, but has enough unique animations that she does fell like a properly different character. Another very welcome addition is a time trial mode for all three games, which works online and lets you track both friends and the best online players." - Metro
Though Vicarious has done very little to change the overall gameplay loop, there has nevertheless been praise for not only those aforementioned quality-of-life fixes for the first game, but also the addition of time trials complete with online leaderboards, and of course, the ability to play the entire game as Crash's loveable sister Coco.
If nothing else, the competitive frenzy surrounding some of the trilogy's more fiendishly difficult levels should be a joy to watch over the coming weeks and months.
