Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled: 10 Racers Who MUST Be Unlockable In A Grand Prix
6. Koala Kong
Koala Kong has been neglected since the very first Crash Bandicoot game, where he forms one of the mid-stage bosses in a mining cavern. The battle is decent, if (like all the battles in the first game) not all that inventive.
He does return in Crash Bash, surprisingly making the cut as one of the four villains, but then Dingodile and Tiny Tiger are working for the good guys, so it did leave a little more room for him. Speaking of Tiny, he and Crunch have probably made it harder now for Kong to carve out a niche for himself, but he still feels worthy of a place in Nitro Fueled.
Though Komodo Joe is a decent boss (and offers more variety than Kong might have), the Koala can still feel a little hard done by. The third boss track is called Dragon Mines, and while yes, Joe is a Komodo dragon, Kong’s original boss battle was in a mine.
Just like Roo’s being underwater, it makes sense within the context of the previous games.
As one of the few original bosses to be left out entirely, there’s a good chance he might be included with an upcoming Grand Prix.
