Crash Team Racing PS1: Ranking EVERY Racer From Worst To Best

We come to the first racer in the original roster of eight to be ranked, and it shouldn't be a surprise that it's Polar coming bottom of the OGs. He's tied with another racer for slowest in the game, and was basically asking to be beaten if you picked him for the tougher races in Adventure Mode.

As for local multiplayer? Polar was a deathwish if any of your mates were even remotely competent.

He's decent for learning the tracks, but given most people dove straight in with Adventure Mode and went from there, Polar's ability to survey the terrain is a bit moot when he's useless at actually winning the races.

The Polar bear never had that much personality in the main series games anyway (he's a polar bear called Polar, what did you expect), but Crash Team Racing never tried to give him one either.

He's cuddly, but even there he's only the second cuddliest of the default characters, so doesn't really have an outlet. He's the first character here to have a genuine fanbase, but they can't drag him any higher than twelfth.
