2. The Pursuer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trxE9dbeYkI If one boss in this game deserves a special mention, it's The Pursuer. He is an early game boss who more than definitely is there to separate the men from the boys. You can find him in Forest Of Fallen Giants after you have killed the area boss and he guards a shortcut that removes a huge chunk of the game. He will also appear if you wander onto a certain rooftop halfway through the level, as well as an Iron Keep room if you return after you've killed the boss. When you get to NG+, two of them will spawn in the already-daunting Drangleic Castle throne room. Two. Each time you fight him, he is stronger and harder to kill, though he drops a special item as a reward if you can bring him down each time. What makes him such a powerful boss and a proper challenge each time is that he is so much faster and stronger than anything you have encountered up to that point. Most bosses are relatively slow due to their size, allowing you to telegraph their moves really well, however this is not the case whatsoever with The Pursuer, as with his floating movement he can traverse the entire room faster than you can, with attacks that will drain all of your stamina in a couple of hits. He's essentially the embodiment of Dark Souls, and if getting on board with enjoying the challenge of fighting him is something you'll have to do if you fancy exploring the whole game.
