Dark Souls Remastered: 10 Hardest Bosses - Ranked
9. Great Grey Wolf Sif
Quite similar to the Sanctuary Guardian is Sif, the Great Grey Wolf. He (or she - the gender of Sif has been a source of contention among Dark Souls fans for a long time) looks a little ridiculous at first glance, carrying a huge sword in his mouth like a puppy playing fetch, but once the fight begins, you see just how deadly he can be.
Like the Sanctuary Guardian, Sif moves very quickly and has a lot of wide slashing moves that can hit in almost every direction. He can deal a lot of damage per hit and can wipe out most characters with just a couple of slashes, so it's absolutely vital for the player to keep moving and dodge as effectively as possible.
Fortunately, Sif does have a couple of weakness, notably to fire and bleeding. It might take a few tries, but once you learn the wolf's attack patterns, it becomes easier to predict his movements and fight back. When you do enough damage, Sif starts limping and becomes much easier to finish off.
