Death Stranding: 21 WTF Moments You Need To See To Believe

6. The Ridiculous Episode 13 Exposition Dump

There is a bit of a lull in the game's ending, and that's the stamina-draining slog that is episode 13's half-hour exposition dump. During this sequence, the player is tasked with reaching Amelie's Beach while finding no clear route to do so.

Running into the ocean or simply running too far away will result in Sam collapsing to the floor and being bombarded with a burst of exposition from Amelie, which the player has to rinse and repeat numerous times before the game finally moves on.

Considering that the player is given no clear indication of whether this is the correct way to advance the story, it's both odd and frustrating.

But being able to run around the Beach while the end credits play out, backed by Low Roar's "I'm Still Coming," was undeniably awesome.
