Death Stranding: Every Major Character Ranked & Explained

8. Deadman

Death stranding
Kojima

Bearing one of the many famous faces that of Hideo Kojima’s friends, Deadman is essentially Death Stranding answer to Frankinstiens monster, in the sense that 70% of his body was harvested from cadavers, while the remaining 30% was grown from pluripotent stem cells. Deadman in Kojima fashion, is literally made up from dead body parts, hence his name. With no birthday and no “Ka”.

This is actually quite vital in the world of Death Stranding as he has no Birthday, which means, in turn, he has no mother and no Beach to visit once he dies. This is why he joined Bridges and is also is how he puts it “obsessed with it all”. Why he works on Bridge Babies and even why eventually he becomes so attached to BBs. So for him, visiting Clifford Unger’s beach is both a terrifying, yet exciting experience.

Serving as this games Otacon, Deadman is constantly helping out Sam and even paying him visits at some of the weirdest of times, with the standout being the shower scene. That could have gone very weird, very fast.
