Devil May Cry 5: 8 Insanely Promising New Features

4. Nero's New Arm(s)

Nero's going to lose his most prized possession in Devil May Cry 5. The Demon Bringer, which helped him fight off a demon invasion and restore peace to the island of Fortuna, has been forcibly removed from its socket by the events of the game, leaving behind nothing but a stump and a whole lot of design space for Capcom to fill.

Thanks to some tinkering by Nico, Nero's replacement prosthetic limb can be powered up via pickups scattered around each level, in turn bestowing him with a series of nifty abilities. Ranging from laser beams to gigantic hand projections formed from electricity, the gauntlet is a swiss-army knife of destruction that has its power tempered by an exhaustive resource, leaving you to decide when best to use them.

Accompanying that newfound power is a concern that Nero's segments will devolve into 'farming' for or purposely saving certain Breakers for specific encounters, but as long as Capcom provides a large enough supply for each stage, that potential issue should never surface.

If everything goes to plan, it's a neat-sounding addition that'll reward exploration.
