How do you improve upon the epitome of first person shooting? Add a demonic, glowing sword straight from Hell itself. Teased at the end of Doom 2016, this sword has finally gotten into the hands of the slayer, allowing players to get up close and carve their way through a fight.
Possibly the coolest looking weapon in all of gaming, the sword isn't just a powerful weapon. From the end of the first game and the trailers and promotional footage we have had so far for Doom Eternal, the sword seems to possess strong significance to the world and lore, driving Slayer forward on his quest to save Earth.
Glowing red, covered in demonic symbols and able to cut its way through any demon, what's not to love? Added to the seemingly endless list of outlandish weapons in the Doom Slayers toolbox, players will have shortage of creative and incredible ways to end Hells invasion and look like an absolute god while doing it.
