9. Climbing
Manoeuvrability is a crucial part of what makes Doom stand out from the crowd as a franchise. The means in which you navigate the world, the speed and precision in which you can avoid oncoming attacks - attack yourself- is like Doom's own little signature at the bottom of a blood-covered note.
Doom Eternal will be turning up to 11 on all fronts. Movement included. As well as the Double Dash, Eternal have given the Slayer the ability to climb certain walls like a spider person. Climbing will be used as part the platforming sections, combined with the new dash and the returning double jump to add a new breed of navigational puzzle solving.
Don't think that you will be climbing your way to safety in a combat situation, however. This is a platforming tool. There will be no getting away from the onslaught of battles coming in Doom Eternal. The only escape is a creative mind and arsenal of badass weapons.
