8. BattleMode (New Multiplayer Mode)
Multiplayer isn't really what Doom 2016 is known for. In fact, I wouldn't be shocked if a large portion of you had forgotten it even existed, being a pretty lacklustre example of PVP with slayer against slayer.
Nevertheless, if interesting multiplayer is what tickles your fancy, Doom Eternal will still have you covered.
BattleMode is a new take on asymmetric PVP, with 2 players taking control of various demons, working together to defeat the player controlled Slayer. While asymmetric multiplayer in of itself isn't new, BattleMode adds a few new tricks to the genre.
With team demon being able to summon an army of AI's from hell, they can bombard the Slayer with forces, trying to taking them down. Over on team Doom Guy, the slayer will have every feasible weapon at their disposal and can implement glory kills to stay in the fight.
