Doom On Switch - Id Software Confirm What Will And Won't Be Included
Which features made the leap?
In a recent interview with Nintendo, Hugo Martin and Marty Stratton, creative director and executive producer (respectively) of iD Software, discussed their upcoming port of Doom for the Switch, available Nov. 10th.
They confirmed that Doom will feature the full single-player campaign with all difficulty modes, including the ultra-nightmare mode (in which the player is forced to play the game at the highest possible difficulty with only one life. If the player dies, the save file is deleted). Arcade mode will also be available, which allows you to play any level on any difficulty level, and with all power-ups unlocked.
All 18 multiplayer maps and 12 game modes will also be available, as well as all previously available DLC.
When asked about any other games currently in development, Hugo and Marty responded with,
"We have sister studios working on really exciting stuff... Bethesda studios is bringing Skyrim to the Nintendo Switch, and I can't imagine a better game for the platform... And also, a franchise that is very near and dear to our hearts, Wolfenstein II, which Machine Games will be developing..."
These games were already confirmed to be released, with Wolfenstein II being released in 2018, and Skyrim in November.
