Dungeons And Dragons: Ranking Every Official 5e Module Worst To Best
3. Tales From The Yawning Portal
Remember earlier when we mentioned the Yawning Portal Tavern? Well, this place has seen a lot of adventurers come and go, so the owner, Durnan, has a lot of interesting stories collected. Why not let him share a few with you? Just don’t let the party know what you have planned for them.
This module, while technically not an adventure, does contain some very good premises that could be used in any campaign. They could also be linked together with some clever DM work. The quest and dungeons contained in this book are from previous editions of Dungeons and Dragons, these have all been updated to work in the 5e ruleset and they work fantastically.
This must-have book can give any DM dozens of ideas for their next campaign. Covering the subjects of traps, puzzles, and monsters there is very little this book doesn’t cover. It is a great encyclopedia of dungeons and their inhabitants. Two particular standouts are The Forge of Fury, a brutal killing fest for your party, and The Tomb of Horrors. A dungeon that relies on the concept of DM vs Players.
