E3 2014: 7 Reasons To Pay Attention This Year

4. Finding Gems In The Rough

One good thing about E3 spanning an entire week is that all that time has to be filled. After June 9th, each day of E3 is made up of at least 8 hours of content that€™s either being streamed or posted everywhere on the internet (so make sure you check back on here too). A selection of triple-A titles revealed in the press conferences are available in some playable form for extensive preview coverage, somewhat in filling the 32 hour-week; even if most outlets only get 15-30 minutes at most with each game. However it also means smaller publishers, developers, and accessory manufacturers get to fill in the gaps in coverage, and that allows gamers to discover all sorts of games that might have slipped through the cracks of normal media coverage. While watching eight hours of streams or videos is totally impractical outside of certain circumstances, it€™s pretty easy to trawl through the front pages of gaming sites to get the best of the smaller titles and find the ones that appeal to you - which is where we come in!
