E3 2015: 12 Biggest Moments From Microsoft's Xbox Conference

11. Tom Clancy's The Division

2015 is the return of the third-person shooter, as with Quantum Break, Fallout 4's increased support of playing in that mode and now The Division rolling out some very impressive-looking entries in the genre, it might finally mark a worthwhile break from so many military first-person shooters that have dominated the modern gaming landscape. For the most part the trailer shown padded out the story and described exactly who/what the titular 'Division' are; a renegade military faction formed in the apocalypse to assumedly tackle other fringe groups. From then on out it was lots of post-apocalyptic talk surrounding themes of surviving and pushing forward, the cuts to gameplay reinforcing the weighty nature of the gunplay. Chances are it'll be Ubisoft's conference where they open up how things play and what exactly is the unique feature(s) to separate this from the rest, but considering right now it's like The Last of Us meets Ghost Recon... that's a mighty fine combo.
