E3 2017: 10 Major Reveals & Announcements We Need To See

7. The Last Of Us 2 Gets A Gameplay Trailer

Batman Arkham Origins
Naughty Dog

On December 3rd, 2016, Playstation's Youtube channel uploaded a teaser trailer for the sequel, promising to build on the brilliant story of the first game.

However, at this stage, that's all we've seen.

Developers at Naughty Dog showed off an apparently in-engine cinematic trailer for the sequel to the critically acclaimed Last of Us, but again, there has been no gameplay revealed. At least there has been information as to the premise of the game, but some gameplay would be nice for the fans until the official release.

The original The Last Of Us followed protagonists Ellie and Joel as an outbreak of a mutant Cordyceps fungus ravaged the United States, transforming its human hosts into cannibalistic monsters known as infected.

Ellie is shown to be one of the lucky few who has a natural immunity to the disease, and, as the two make their way towards the Fireflies, a rebel militia opposing the now implemented quarantine zone authorities. The end of the game shows us that Ellie's natural immunity is worthless, as the Fireflies had tried, and failed, to synthesise a cure with others who were naturally immune.

Where does the story go from here? I'd certainly love to find out.
