6. A Way Out Is An Ambitious Co-Op Prison Break Game

A refreshing look at an intriguing new IP came by way of A Way Out, a co-op prison break action adventure game from the minds behind the enormously successful Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.

A Way Out's main hook is that it's co-op only, both locally and online, and the cinematic gameplay unfolds as two cons are brought together to help one another escape. Rather than have players team up but on separate screens, the action unfolds in split-screen style, allowing each side to see exactly what the other is doing, and making the overall experience feel that much more immersive.

It's a terrifically promising idea, and given the pedigree working on it, it's easy to be incredibly optimistic about this one. It'll reportedly land in early 2018.
