E3 2017: 6 Ups & 6 Downs From Sony's Conference
Ups...
6. Games, Games, Games
Though a lot of the most anticipated PS4 games were conspicuously absent from the show, it's hard to fault Sony for committing themselves to the mantra of "games, games, games." Sony Interactive Entertainment America's Shawn Layden appeared on stage for just a few short minutes during the whole hour, and the majority of the conference was essentially a rolling playlist of trailers and gameplay.
While that did take a little of the atmosphere and majesty away, it was still great to see the likes of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, Days Gone, Monster Hunter World, Call of Duty: WW2 and Detroit: Become Human get extended gameplay glimpses, among many others.
The general pace and abundance of games can't be faulted, though it's just a damn shame the show didn't run another half-hour and cram even more in.
