E3 2017: 8 Ups & 7 Downs From Microsoft's Conference

Microsoft made the enormously crowd-pleasing reveal that soon enough Xbox One owners will be able to insert their old Xbox discs into their console and download free digital versions of their old games. Yes, the Xbox One will essentially be backwards compatible with the original Xbox.

The announcement lit the crowd on fire, some two years after Microsoft first revealed the console's backwards compatibility with the Xbox 360, and considering how Sony refuses to implement a similar service, it's certainly one of Microsoft's smarter and more consumer-friendly moves to date.

2003's Crimson Skies was the only game officially announced, but you can bet that all the classics will end up on there before long. Hell yeah.
