E3 2017: 8 Ups & 7 Downs From Microsoft's Conference
Ups...
8. The Impressive Focus On Games
One thing Microsoft can't be faulted on this year is the insane array of games they showed off during their conference, from the jaw-dropping visual majesty of Forza Motorsport 7 (out October 3rd), to the Egypt-set Assassin's Creed: Origins (October 27), the hugely popular PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (late 2017) and many, many more.
Microsoft showed off a terrific 42 games all in all, and though many of them appeared for mere seconds a-piece during an indie game montage, it still proved that Microsoft is taking diversity seriously, which is important considering how well Sony has embraced the indie scene in recent years.
There wasn't a ton of corporate business talk: it was often game after game after game, and that's exactly what these conferences should be.
