E3 2018: 10 Ups & 5 Downs From Microsoft's Conference
Ups...
10. The INSANE Focus On Games
One thing you absolutely cannot fault Microsoft for this year is their commitment to making the show about games, games, games. In their 100 minute conference, they featured more than 50 games, including 18 exclusives and 15 world premieres.
There was little time spent discussing stodgy corporate mumbo-jumbo and Xbox boss Phil Spencer kept his presence pretty minimal throughout. The majority of the show was basically a playlist of new trailers and gameplay footage, which is really the way it almost always should be.
Though the show ended up being a little lighter on "megaton" reveals than expected, it was still great to see long-expected games like Just Cause 4 and Dying Light 2 finally get their stage reveals...and all the rest.
