1. The Failure To Sell Xbox One As A Platform
There's no denying that Microsoft's show was a great presentation for gamers as a whole, but for Xbox owners in particular? Not especially.
The vast majority of the games shown off will be playable without even owning an Xbox One - either third-party titles on PS4 or Microsoft Studios games available on PC through Play Anywhere - so if the intention here was to sell more Xbox One units, it didn't really work.
Alternatively, it's possible that Microsoft is already comfortable with the fact that it "lost" this generation to Sony, and is instead redoubling efforts to have a far stronger first-party line-up ready for the next Xbox console.
Still, the show didn't present much incentive for non-Xbox One owners to pick one up, which is pretty shocking. With that in mind, though, Microsoft's E3 conference did serve up a TON of worthwhile reveals. Here's everything they got right...
