E3 2018: 8 Ups & 5 Downs From Sony's Conference
6. Resident Evil 2 Remake Is FINALLY Revealed & It's Coming January 25, 2019
Almost three years after it was first announced, Resident Evil 2 Remake was finally unveiled during Sony's presser, with a reveal trailer that showed off the new character designs for protagonists Leon and Claire, some of the classic RE2 iconography fans know and love, and also the Resident Evil 4-esque over-the-shoulder camera.
Weirdly, Sony dropped a far superior, shorter trailer for the game after the show (below), which placed a greater emphasis on actual gameplay. Though the new Leon and Claire designs are already dividing fans, and some will be disappointed at the lack of fixed camera angles per the original game, the gameplay and graphics sure do look fantastic.
Plus, fans don't have too long to wait, as the game will release on PS4, Xbox One and PC on January 25, 2019. Expect more details to follow in the coming days as Resident Evil 2 Remake will be playable on the E3 show floor. Get hype.
