E3 2019: 10 Biggest Surprises That Blew Us Away
6. 12 Minutes
One of the 60 games revealed during Microsoft's press conference, 12 Minutes was a surprising gem that seems truly intriguing.
As described by the game's official website, 12 Minutes is an "interactive thriller about a man trapped in a time loop", basically being Groundhog Day in the form of a video game - though with some much darker themes.
The entire game seems to be set in a single apartment, with the view being permanently top-down, creating a uniquely confined storytelling experience that will likely lead to some tense and thrilling moments as you attempt to weave your way down the correct path.
The trailer showed some of the harrowing scenes you can expect your choices to lead to, with the almost skin-crawling atmosphere that the developers have crafted seeming very intriguing.
It seems absolutely fantastic and, if you haven't already, make sure to give the trailer a watch, I'm sure it will intrigue you just as much as it has us.
