E3 2019: 10 Biggest Surprises That Blew Us Away
2. Watch Dogs Legion's New Direction
When Watch Dogs: Legion was leaked a few days prior to the Ubisoft E3 conference, it sounded almost too good to be true. It was set in London, with a strong political undertone and... you could play as any NPC? What?
Yet, surprisingly, Ubisoft actually delivered on their promises, the trailers and gameplay demos that we have seen so far featuring all of the aforementioned elements - and the game looks very promising.
The near-future dystopian London seems beautiful, and the idea of recruiting an army from any of the NPCs populating this city seems a fantastic concept.
Sure, it's probably a good idea to be a bit cautious with this one, especially with how the first game turned out in comparison to pre-release material, but what has been shown inspires some real optimism - something that didn't seem possible in regards to a new Watch Dogs.
This was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
