Light heavyweight royalty Rashad Evans may have been forced to pull out with his highly anticipated clash with Daniel Cormier due to a leg injury but surely this shouldn€™t mean he receives a reduced rating? Since winning the second season of The Ultimate Fighter Rashad has arguably proven himself to be the finest combatant to have emerged from the reality series. Not only has he beaten the likes of Chuck Liddell, Rampage Jackson, Dan Henderson and a juiced Chael Sonnen but he also had a brief tenure as the 205-lb champ. It is insane that a man who has been one of the most dangerous fighters in his division for so long has been given an overall rating of 89 when so many others have been rated higher €“ indeed this rating is worse than that of Phil Davis who Rashad beat with ease at a UFC on Fox event. Further, Evans has been given the same ground rating as Davis despite having systematically outwrestled him in their five round clash. Rashad has always been a very skilled, athletic striker with devastating knockout power. However, he has only been given a stand-up rating of 90. It is a great shame that a fighter who is not only a fan favourite but is also one of the best in his division has been rated as being mediocre. It is times like these that we wished EA Sports UFC offered FIFA-esque form updates to amend these mistakes.
