EA Sports UFC: 10 Fighter Ratings That Must Be Upgraded

8. Khabib Nurmagomedov

EA Sports EA Sports

Overall: 90

Striking: 89

Ground : 93

Submissions: 90

Once you overcome the difficulty of pronouncing his last name it is impossible to deny that Khabib is one of the greatest threats to Anthony Pettis€™ as-yet undefended lightweight belt. Since debuting in the UFC in January 2012 the Russian has been causing tidal waves in the division €“ going on five consecutive wins and never once looking challenged. Many believed that in Khabib€™s last fight against Rafael dos Anjos €“ who was coming off a win over Donald Cerrone €“ the 155-pounder would finally have met his match. However, Khabib was able to nullify dos Anjos€™ dangerous stand-up game and make him look as impotent as everybody else he had faced till that point. Khabib is so dangerous and so talented that the UFC are struggling to find fights for him. Nate Diaz €“ a man rated as being Khabib€™s superior in EA Sport€™s game €“ is widely documented as having refused a fight with Nurmagomedov. The hype surrounding Khabib is most certainly justified so his just-above-average overall rating of 90 is definitely too low. Though Khabib€™s ground technique is rated as a 93 it should still be higher: in Russia he is a multiple-time Sambo champion and arguably has some of the best grappling in the entire sport. We have seen recently that Khabib€™s stand-up €“ rated a paltry 89 €“ is no joke either.
